thomas sadoski-2The stage career of Sadoski, an award-winning actor, began as an assistant to Mark Ruffalo, Mark Rosenthal and Mark Rosenthal in an Off-Broadway production Kenneth Lonergan's play This is Our Youth at Second Stage Theatre. This was his first of many productions performed by the theatre company based in New York. He has performed in many Off-Broadway and Broadway productions. He has also been in several productions in regional theaters. Along with Alison Pill, he played the role Greg in Neil LaBute's 2008 play Reasons to be Beautiful at MCC Theatre. After a run on Off Broadway that was sold out the play was moved to Broadway in April 2009. It received three Tony Award nominations, including Best Actor and Best Actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. Sixteen Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for inciting the widely-praised shift in tone and the reason to be attractive from the playwright's earlier works saying: "His own thoughtfulness and positive attitude helped me not rely on any of the plays I've written prior to that. My plays tend to end darkly. I've always believed that that was true, that there was always a hint of gray, but the actor helped me recognize other colors that were in the play." He was the first Trip Wyeth character in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, for which he won an Obie Award (and a Lucille Lortel Award). The production (which was also, after it's sold-out Off-Broadway run, was moved to Broadway in November 2011) was named Outstanding New Off-Broadway Production by the Outer Critics Circle in 2011. Sadoski, Ben Stiller, Edie Failco Jennifer Jason Leigh, Alison Pill, and Alison Pill were also seen on Broadway in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves.
