Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. She and LeAnn Kymes were two of the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss was born in July 1971. Alison is a country and bluegrass artist. As a teenager, she began her journey into the music scene, having won local contests at the age of 10 old and recording her debut album at 14 years. She signed with Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. She was then invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, her current band that she sings together. Her first album as a collective with this group came out in 1989.
